Cal graduated from Birkbeck, University of London with a first-class honours in International Law and Japanese in 2021.

In 2022, Cal was awarded a distinction in his Master of Arts in Law at the University of Law, with a dissertation on immigration and human rights.

Prior to joining Gold Jennings, Cal worked as an English teacher in Spain and South America.
