What we can do for you

  • 1.
  • We offer a free initial telephone consultation in appropriate cases, during which we will take details of your complaint and advise whether we may be able to represent you. If we are unable to represent you, we will try and refer you to another firm of solicitors who may be able to assist.
  • 2.
  • If we consider that we may be able to represent you, we will arrange a meeting with a solicitor at a mutually convenient time.
  • 3.
  • At the meeting we will:
    •  Take details of your complaint.
    •  Discuss with you the objective in bringing a claim and the possible outcomes.
    •  Advise you of the time limits for bringing a claim. Time limits differ dependent upon the legal cause of action.
    •  Assess the merits of your claim, your means and inform you if you are entitled to apply for legal aid.
    •  If you are not entitled to public funding, we will discuss the payment of fees on a private basis. We offer a conditional Fee Arrangement in certain cases.
    •  Advise you of the legal routes available to you, the likely length of time it will take to complete the claim and the alternatives to legal proceedings. There are complaint procedures and various forms of alternative dispute resolutions such as mediation or round table discussions that can be utilised.
    •  Attempt to provide you with an estimate of the damages you are likely to obtain if your claim succeeds.
